Brunch at the Botanical Garden
On Sunday from 12:00 we meet at the Botanical Garden “D. Brandza”, University of Bucharest to celebrate the change of season, the first snow and the (“radical”) activity of slowing down.
We will learn from nature that winter and cold are periods of regeneration and conservation of resources, and rest – a natural and healthy process.
Participation in this event is free, but registration is mandatory as places are limited. The registration form is available here https://cqjk923fvjq.typeform.com/to/VBsGcJ4V
The event, co-created with WWF Romania, features three superb activities:
A walk through the Botanical Garden in Bucharest where we will observe the transformations in nature during this season of tranquility. Oana Cristina Verdier from De rituri și plantes will guide our exploration by telling us about tranquility/rest/rest in popular myths and magic and in the plant world.
The walk is followed by a delicious vegetarian brunch conceived and prepared by Andrada Bucur, which will be served in a special place in the Garden. Expect dishes with local ingredients, inspired by Andrada’s frequent travels through nature and the city’s markets, with regional herb inserts inspired by Mona Petre’s book “Forgotten Herbs”.
At the end we will learn about the most common local plants and their main pollinators – why they are important, how to protect them and how to include them in our daily lives by testing for the first time the mobile app created by WWF Romania.
This experience is part of the WWF BeeActive project – Mobilizing citizens for the conservation of bees and other pollinators in Romania with the support of EEA and Norwegian grants through @Active Citizens Fund Romania.
