Creating a Community Garden
The Community Garden at the Museum of Maps in Bucharest will become a living laboratory for testing practices for sharing urban public space.
Between September 2024 and March 2025, the Bucharest Map Museum Garden will undergo a rehabilitation process and will become a more biodiverse space to be enjoyed by the local community and visitors to the museum. The garden will provide shelter not only for us, but also for many species of pollinators, becoming a place to contemplate, celebrate and reconnect with nature.
The events will run from September 2024 through March 2025 and will include urban ecology workshops, planting sessions, community lunches, talks and workshops.
The calendar of events will be available soon.
The project is funded by “In Zona Ta”, an action of the Environmental Platform for Bucharest, a strategic program of the Bucharest Community Foundation and ING Bank Romania.
